NANI!? No New JoJo Episode Next Week
By Yung Namahage • 5 years ago

Yesterday's episode of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure was awesome. Not only did we get some great Moody Blues and Man in the Mirror moments, but we got a firsthand look at what Fugo's Purple Haze is truly capable of. Not only that, but patient viewers would have spotted a post-credits scene featuring a certain assassin, foreshadowing future events. However, the next episode teaser was a little different than usual.

Instead of the usual card revealing the title of next week's episode, a screen appeared to announce a special program titled "Inizio del Vento Aureo," meaning "Beginning of Golden Wind." The anime's official website confirms that this means we're getting a recap episode next Friday chronicling the first thirteen episodes of the series' fifth part, instead of a continuation of the gang's mission.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing; it could be a recap episode like Trigun's. which not only brought viewers up to speed by showing highlights from previous episodes up until this point but also included significant character development and backstory reveals in the series present. Another important thing to note that it won't take up an episode slot, meaning the other 26 of the 39 episode series will proceed as planned.

JoJo returns to normal (relatively speaking) on January 11 with The Florence-Bound Express Train. If you haven't read the manga, all I'll say is this'll be the start of one of the craziest arcs in the entire series. It's also likely that we'll be treated to a brand new OP, but don't quote me on that.

What do you think of recap episodes? Will you be tuning in for Inizio del Vento Aureo next Friday? Drop your thoughts below as usual.
