In our newest installment of "Never change, Japan, you weird and wonderful country", the JAV company actually known as Soft on Demand, likely one of the largest porn companies in the world (which, I mean, is anyone surprised?) ran an experiment/publicity stunt that sought to use "virgin power", their descriptor, to generate energy. Of course this all went down in Shibuya.

This all went down last week on March 14th, White Day. Yeah, no kidding. White Day. It's gets better though, so strap in. You guys remember the old meme that said we could end the energy and fat crisis by having internet nerds sit on exercise bikes hooked up to modems, and the internet only works as long as they peddle on the bikes, and downloads go only as fast as they peddle? Yeah, it's that. Here's how they did it. 

So, "doutei", or "virgin", sits on a bike with a VR set on their face, and watches actresses. Soft of Demand expected that such displays would encourage the guys to peddle harder. The actresses themselves are actually pretty hot, Tina Nanami and Hinata Koizumi. 

The company didn't check anyone's V Card at the door, though they theorized that virgins would peddle harder because, and I quote, their “spurting energy that has nowhere else to go”. Eww. No result on how much energy was produced. I've yet to see a study written. Still, interesting all the same. Let's hope this leads to VR porn now.
