Cowboy Bebop is said to be one of the greatest anime of all time. Now, I’ve never watched Cowboy Bebop, so I can’t support those claims. But, from everything I’ve seen of it, I feel like I can safely say that it’s at least a good anime. And the makers behind the amazing Cowboy Bebop are trying to create magic once again with their latest anime project, Lazarus.

Airing on Adult Swim just like the good old days. The anime looks pretty much like a modern day Cowboy Bebop, hell, even the protagonist kind of looks like Spike. And with it being animated by Studio Mappa, you can expect the animation to be on point. People who already watched Cowboy Bebop might not really get anything out of this, but for newcomers, this might be a good introduction.

But the thing is, dream teams coming back together doesn’t always spell a receipt for greatness. The creators behind the masterpiece Death Note came back together to create Platinum End, and let me just say, that anime isn’t winning any platinum trophies for it’s story and characters anytime soon.

But, I’m super excited to see how Lazarus turns out. Maybe afterwards, it will get me to finally check out Cowboy Bebop.
