Well any Persona fans out there should have heard the news by now, but I’m finally here to shill for Persona 3, and more specifically the rumored Persona 3 remake. A bit ago a few games were leaked including a new Jet Set Radio, Sonic Frontiers, and of course everyone’s favorite JRPG about the meaning of life while incorporating the perspective of death always on the horizon. Kinky already covered the Jet Set Radio leak, and honestly I would have been yapping away about Persona 3 earlier except for the fact that I honestly thought the leaks were fake when they came out. However, as time passed they garnished a lot of attention and the general consensus for them was that there was too much work put on display for some random person to “prank” the internet with. Only time will tell for sure, but this Yukari clip certainly has my nostalgia boner at half mast for now. The original version was posted on Twitter, but the account has since been deleted. Persona 3 has been my favorite game for years now and a remake was never out of the question. I purport it was the first game in the series to really become “popular” and it established many of the concepts that still show themselves in later titles all the way up to Persona 5 Royal. For better or worse the game essentially served as a “blueprint” for Atlus both in story and gameplay, and its impact can be felt throughout each following major game release. The only confusing thing here is the timeline. It seemed more likely that Persona 6 would be in the works considering that the original Persona 5 released, uh, Jesus Christ it released about 7 years ago??? Somebody stop the clock. Anyway, I anticipated a possible remake after the release of 6 but I’m not one to complain about an early surprise if it does turn out to be true. The worst aspect of Persona 3 for me was the combat, not that it was abhorrent but compared to the depth and style of 5, there is definitely a clear gap both in design and hardware capabilities developing over the years. A revamp to the combat, soundtrack, and visuals would be more than enough to have my ass crawling back into another 100 hour JRPG adventure. Just don’t tell my boss.

It goes without saying that if this leak proves real, the amount of P3 lewds will once again pop off. Aigis was one of my first ever “waifus” so getting some more lewds in that department is sure to keep my head excited. Did you play the original Persona 3? Do you think these leaks are true?
