You have have heard of Hentai Heroes here and there. It's a massive free-to-play eroge that promises plenty of sexy times. Well, we've played it, and the hype is real. It's a fun harem game with plenty of comedy and references to enjoy. And, you know, sexy times to satisfy other urges. Before we dive in, here's a bit of the gameplay in action.

Let's start with the story. Players take on the role of a bespectacled guy who has the grand duty of romancing numerous sexy ladies and form a harem. Sounds simple, right? Not as much. That lovely task aside, the girls must also fight, and win, against powerful opponents, of it players are up for it, in PVP. Yep, Hentai Heroes has a PVP mode. It's not easy. Players will also travel to different thematic worlds, referencing even various manga series. In these different worlds, players have to meet and convince the lovely ladies there to join a growing harem, and enjoy the love one only recieves as part of a harem, Oh, and fight powerful bosses. The good news is, the girls can get stronger and level up. It's an RPG game, after all. 

Ok, but how does it look? Eroge ideally look great, enticing enough for players to enjoy for long periods of time, even after they're "finished". Well, Hentai Heroes delivers on that. It looks as great as it plays. It looks like a combination of both American and Japanese comics, and makes something that looks great. The girls all look hot, but never look the same, hitting all the great girl archetypes. The characters also have unique personalities, so as one-dimensional as they look, they're also very likeable. I like the bunny girl best, she has as much fun with the harem as I do.

So how does it play? It's a standard RPG, really. Find characters, level them up, progress the story, and so on. There's an affection meter to consider as well, but that goes hand-in-hand with eroge. The girls need to like you if you want them to get undressed. Nothing was really grind-heavy, and combat was a breeze once you get the hang of it. The girls themselves can be found by beating a boss, or even through a gacha. Both of those methods also drop useful items.

PVP is as much of a challenge as one would assume, and it has a ranking system, so if you're up for that, go for gold!

Hentai Heroes is a labor of love for the team behind it, as it sees regular updates. There's a lot to pull you in and keep you coming back for more. Normal eroge rarely see this much effort. Most of the time, it's meet girl, have sex, The End. Hentai Heroes is one of those rare gems that put in real effort to not only appeal to ones desire to see sex, but provide a real gameplay experience that is engaging and fun.
