Huge Azur Lane Oppai Mousepad Delayed Due to Silicone Shortage
By Yung Namahage • 3 years ago

We're no strangers to discussing oppai mousepads here at Doujins. They're a prime example of the anime industry's willingness to slap titties on anything and everything; or rather, they're a prime example of otakus' willingess to buy anything and everything with titties on them because goddamn, there are a lot to choose from.

The latest and greatest example comes from Azur Lane, the super popular mobile game from China about waifu-fied warships. Announced at the virtual event Air Comiket in December, it features cow-girl Kashino's bust in life-size proportions, drawn by Zelda10010. If you thought Iyapan's life-size ass mousepad was a cool concept but you're more of a boob guy, this is the mousepad for you!

In all its glory, it measures about 24 x 19 inches (60cm x 40cm) with the tits reaching a height of around 4 inches (10cm). That's a lotta wrist support! It also comes with a free wall scroll featuring the same illustration, with a removable transparent layer so you can choose to take off Kashno's wet shirt if you please.

Pre-orders for the mousepad were open throughout the month of January, priced at ¥49,500 (around US$464). Manufacturer Yostar expected to sell only 100 made-to-order units, but they ended up surpassing their sales target by a massive margin. By the end of January they sold 1893 mousepads, which Yostar marketing director Dai Miwaki revealed earned the company ¥93,703,500 (about US$890,00) in revenue.

Those sales figures plus the sheer size of those boobs means they need a lot of premium silicone to produce the mammary mousepads. Unfortunately, Miwaki apologized on a recent livestream and confessed that the company is having trouble procuring the materials they need to create 1893 Kashinos, so the expected delivery date of March has now been pushed back. He insisted that the delay was necessary to ensure they use the highest quality silicone to make the breasts as soft as possible, and that all orders will be fulfilled eventually. Let's hope this doesn't turn into the Cyberpunk 2077 of tiddy mousepads.
