I’ve been watching and enjoying the fourth season of Shokugeki no Soma, or Food Wars in English. I never thought I would enjoy an anime about cooking as much as I do now. But, maybe I should have known that since I did enjoy watching Food Network back in the day. Chopped was the shit! Anyways, watching the fourth season just reminded me about all the amazing female character designs that Shokugeki has. It’s drawn by a hentai artist, so maybe it should have been obvious, but come on, it’s a show about cooking! Who would have thought they'd be so many sexy girls in a cooking show? A lot of hentais don’t have girls this hot!

Yeah, don’t be surprised. Even these twins that showed up for like a few episodes are bangers when it comes to character designs.

Another amazing thing about the character designs are that they’re so varied. And not like that fake varied that some anime do by just changing the hair and eye colors, no, these characters all act different and look totally different from one another. You have Erina, the pompous blonde tsundere. Megumi, the bland but cute and wholesome girl. Ikumi, the tan girl who’s meaty in all the right places. Alice, evil looking girl who’s actually super cute. Ringo, the senpai who seems scary at first, but is actually a real goofball. And Momo, for all the loli lovers out there.

Shokugeki goes out of it’s way to make even the most simplest of characters unique and different. No matter if they’re main characters, supporting characters, or characters who’s only seen for 3 episodes. Shokugeki put effort and thought into their designs, and I can respect that.
