Are Guys Not Ugly?!

Well, I’m not sure if many of you heard of Billie Eilish before. I think she makes music or something. But, the thing she said is kind of wild to say the least. I didn’t know us men were so privileged to not be insulted by women about how we look. I didn’t know that our appearance didn’t matter and girls just think we’re hot and attractive no matter how we look. From what Billie Eilish stated, girls don’t judge men on their appearance and are always just nice to us. I guess the girls that called me ugly in high school were just…lying?

I’m not really even sure what made her make this statement. Like, it seems so blind and ignorant. It sounds like something someone would say while drunk or something. It just doesn’t make sense. Even if we think we’re attractive, good looking, or at least decent looking, I’m pretty sure we’ve all been called ugly by a girl once in our life. And if not, you best believe a girl found you not attractive to her standard.

How could a girl think I was ugly?

I feel like one reason this might be a feeling she has is because guys aren’t all up in arms about the people we see in the media and cartoons. Girls are always comparing themselves to models, or Disney princesses as their standard of beauty. Guys don’t look at WWE Wrestlers and cry about how they don’t look like them. It’s not something you just hear being an uproar or men crying about. But beauty standards have always been a big thing for women, but not so much for men.

And last thing, I don’t think any decent human being would call someone ugly to their face. Like, we all can think someone is ugly and not mention it to them. We have our types and that’s okay. But someone down right calling someone ugly, man or woman, to the person's face, that’s just a shitty thing to do, no matter what gender. I might think Billie Eilish is ugly, but you won’t see me just saying that to her face (I think Billie Elish is pretty cute. But don’t tell her I said that).
