Anime Strike Finally Strikes Out

The badly modeled and hated Anime Strike anime streaming service has finally come to a close. With already having to pay for Amazon Prime, then paying an extra $4.99 a month just for Anime Strike, it seems to be an obvious cash grab. But the good thing for anime fans that have a prime membership, but thought $4.99 a month was too much extra: Amazon has decided to move all Anime Strike anime to prime. So, score one for us.

A spokesperson for Amazon made confirmation that Anime Strike and its sister channel Heera have moved all content to Prime Video.

"We have decided to move the curated catalogs of Anime Strike and Heera into Prime Video so that more customers can enjoy this content as part of their Prime membership," the spokesperson said.

With the end of Anime Strike, let’s count all the 3 strikes Anime Strike made, sending its ass off the field.

1.  The Double Pay Wall

Having to pay an extra $4.99 a month on top of your already prime membership costing $10 a month, it was something that already made people look at the service with a sideways glance.

2. No Alternative Way to Watch Anime and Slow Releases

Unlike its competitors, Funamation and Crunchyroll, who offer the option to watch anime for free with ads enabled, Anime Strike did not provide that. Netflix also does not offer this, but Netflix doesn’t suffer the problem of a double pay wall. And when the anime that you present sometimes aren’t even released on time, it begs the question, “why even try?”

3. Ignoring the Fans

Anime Strike always stated that they wanted to cater to the fans, but sadly, when the fans had a problem with their business model, no responses were heard. They never seemed to really care about the fans. They saw that the niche called anime was picking up steam and wanted to hop on. With a mindset like that, it’s no wonder they failed.

Here are some other legal streaming services you can check out:

And you may be wondering “It’s cool that I have different places to watch my anime. But, where can I watch my hentai?” Well don’t worry there my boy, we have a sister channel called Hentai0, where you can watch free and premium hentai all you want.

What do you think? Did you like Anime Strike? Are you sad that it’s gone? Do you even use legal streaming services? Tell us in the comments below.

Yeah, you can watch *some* hentai for free at Hentai0, but if you want to watch uncensored stuff and some of the best hentai anime, you have to pay and be a member. Besides after being a member, you can *download* the vids if you want.

Hidive would be a better alternative to Daisuki. Pretty sure the latter is ending/ ended

I get quite a bit of use out of the Funimation and Crunchyroll apps on my iPad. I last used Netflix for anime when Little witch Academia was coming out, but they were very slow with releasing the seasons. I used Daisuke for One Punch Man only and didn't go back. It worked, but that was all I wanted. I've heard Anime Strike being a poor model but that it had good things. I may try later.

If I knew this existed, I would have tried it. $5 isn't bad. Did they have no advertising budget? Amazon has got my order history, they know I'm into this!

And the irony is Jeff Bezos, the owner of Amazon is now the richest man in the world, beating Mircosoft founder Bill Gates. This is how he gets his money & later been wasted! :D
