Night: Hello there! I'm doing great Kinky, thank you.
Kinky: How long have you’ve been working with 3D animation and using SFM?
Night: I've been using 3D softwares since 2014. Started out my adventure with posing in XPS and later on taught myself how to use Blender Cycles and Photoshop to improve the visuals of my work. I've always kept an eye on SFM as well since it was out, but it wasn't until a friend of mine, who's also an animator, showed me the basics of it in 2016 and SFM felt much easier to use from a technical point of view which led me to switch to it.
Kinky: When did you start making porn using SFM?
Night: Pretty much when I first started using it. My friend Rrostek was also a porn animator himself so getting used to the program's layout and the scene was relatively quick.
Kinky: Did you ever receive extra help when it comes to the 3D animated side of things?
Night: When I was switching from still image renders to animations, Rrostek explained how the basic loop system and keyframes work. For the first month or two, I did take a lot of notes of my own discoveries as I kept experimenting more and more on my own and watched a lot of tutorials on lights, camera, colors and animating on youtube. People I've met in my journey.also never turned down any of my questions, so I can say the community was really helpful.
Kinky: Voice acting in SFM porn is being seen more often, which is great! (I love me some dirty talk in my porn) What made you want to hire voice actors for your content? Was it difficult to find them in the beginning?
Night: After the release of Mortal Kombat X: Afterstory, I received a lot of more positive feedback than I've expected, so it started giving me more ideas that would naturally be impossible with only in-game voice lines. So, I set out to find voice actors and actresses to improve my animations further. It was really hard to find them at the beginning, but after quite a bit of research, I've reached out to Incognita who did an excellent job as Samus. As the time passed by I've met with so many VAs who all had diamond like personalities and eventually VAs started contacting me asking for work.

Kinky: I believe that Mortal Kombat X: Afterstory was my first introduction to you, which I'm so happy it was. It was an amazing video, which makes me wonder. What is your least favorite animation work you’ve done and your most favorite?
Night: There are some test animations I made when I first started animating that I haven't released to the internet at all, which I think would all be categorized as my least favorite. As for the ones that I've posted, I believe the Juri's BJ animation was my least favorite and it could use some work. On the other hand, I think it'd be no surprise if I said, MKX: Afterstory would be on top of my list due to originality of it. I also can't deny Andrastae's tremendous amounts of efforts as Cammy either in "Over the Line" so those two will always be my favorite.
Seeing Cammy in a 3D porn with voice acting was amazing. A the voice acting was pretty spot on, Night Wanderer really knows how to pick'em.
Kinky: Sad to hear, since I would love me some more Juri porn out there. With voice acting perferably. But, Cammy is my close second when it comes to Street Fighter waifus. You must play games if you’re working with game characters. What are some of the games you enjoy?
Night: Oh I've been an addict of video games for years. I play pretty much anything that isn't turn based or strategy and I'm a huge Metal Gear Solid, Witcher and Mortal Kombat fan.
Kinky: Some of your works ends off on a goofy note, almost like a family sic-com. What made you take this approach?
Night: No specific reason other than me not knowing how to end videos. I guess Yagskie's early 2012 animations inspired me to meme things up as long as the ending wasn't interfering with the overall animation. It's a shame there's no George Costanza model that animators can use.
Kinky: I believe that I heard that you are done with making SFM porn animation. Is that correct?
Night: Yes. That's correct.
Kinky:What made you make that decision?
Night: As I've also stated on my tumblr, animating without a break was affecting me psychologically and it also started affecting my performance as well. Eventually, I came to the conclusion that being the porn person for the rest of my life wasn't what I wanted as a career, so I decided to end my journey as Night Wanderer and it was fun for me while it lasted. I hope it was the same for people who was kind enough to join up on this journey of mine. One thing I'd like to say is though, that I never started making NSFW animations to make a name for myself or get big enough to get on interviews, but purely because I liked making them and that never changed until the last day of NW. I always seen every single one of my animations as an animation that belonged to the whole internet itself rather than only me, because at the end of the day the animations people liked became a reality not only by me but also by the VA's efforts, by Rrostek who showed me how things work at the very start, by every single person who was kinda enough to support me no matter the type of it, by all the people who made those tutorials on youtube to help me learn and by those who helped Night Wanderer become Night Wanderer, so it never mattered if it was posted by Night Wanderer or someone else who slapsticked his name on it. That's why I'm not leaving this scene on a bitter note. Because I know there'll always be new wanderers out there and I'm only glad to know that there will be so many kind people who'll help those wanderers out on their journeys as long as they stay dedicated.
Kinky: Will you use your SFM animation ability for something else?
Night: Of course. I've been really passionate about animating since the day I started and leaving the NSFW scene won't change that at all. I'm currently taking a little break but also animating small gags, which I'll be posting in my SFW blog later on. I've always admired people's dedication towards animating considering how much patience it requires for mere minutes and people like Egoraptor and SpeedoSausage always inspired me to become an animator since the early days of Newgrounds, so I'll keep on animating SFW animations and improve myself even further. I hope one day, I'll be good enough to work in big studios such as CD Project Red or NRS.
Kinky: I was truly sad that Cursed by Vengeance never got finished since Ivy design and personally really gets to me, and adding a voice to the porn made it ever so wonderful. Do you regret not being able to finishing it and why didn’t you?
Night: There was a huge amount of time and effort put into "Cursed by Vengeance" behind the scenes by everyone and as much as a part of me regrets not finishing it before leaving the scene, I knew that if I finished animating the first episode (It was planned to be a 3 episode animation) my addictive personality would've prevented me from quitting by the time the episode was wrapped up. I'm sure Ivy herself is happy with my decision as well.
Kinky: Is there a video game character that you wanted to do, that you haven’t touched yet?
Night: From the recent games, I'd go with Urbosa from Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Kinky: That's a damn shame we'll never get to see a voiced Urbosa from you. I love her design so that would have been a real treat for me. Thank you so much for joining me to night, Night Wanderer.
