One of the Big Three, is Now in the Bottom Three
By ImJustThatKinky • 1 year ago

Oh how the mighty has fallen. I remember back in the day when people used to shit on Black Clover as one of the worst shonen of the new generation. That era is over, and Black Clover is the series everyone is praising and getting hype about, while My Hero Academia is the one at the bottom. Yeah, you read that right, My Hero is doing worse than Black Clover.

Now you might be wondering, what’s the reason for such a big drop. My Hero was considered one of the best shonen at the time, right beside Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen. But as the series got closer to its supposed climax, its rating and popularity kept dropping more and more. And the reason for this is because of SPOILER reasons. So if you haven't read the latest manga chapters, then I advise you to click off this article. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Now, the reason people are losing interest in the series is because of one loud mouth character.

WHY ARE YOU SO LOUD!!!

That’s right, Bakugo is the reason for everyone's displeasure. And no, it’s not because he’s being even more loud and annoying. It’s because he DIED!!!...actually, when he died, the rating for the manga went up. It was actually when he came back to life when the ratings started dropping and everyone called bullshit on it.

Now I haven’t read the chapter myself, it’s just hard for me to avoid spoilers when my job deals with anime and manga. But after getting wind of this spoiler, I have to say, I wasn’t really that angry unlike other fans. One, because I like Bakugo as a character, so I didn’t want him to die. And two, it’s a shonen. I really didn’t expect a big main character like Bakugo to die.

I feel like the people who went out of their way to burn their My Hero manga volumes and rage about Bakugo’s revival are overreacting. I’m not sure why they put so much fate in a shonen series to do something like that. My Hero has killed off some important side characters that I got emotionally attached to, so it’s not like My Hero is like Fairy Tail where no one dies. But people could also be mad because the way he was revived seemed like a total ass pull. Either way, My Hero is seemingly close to its end, so let’s see will this series be another long running shonen with a shitty ending.

Have you been enjoying the My Hero Academia manga? Did you expect Bakugo to actually die? Do you think people are overreacting? Tell us in the comments.
