Not really a new installment for the Nier series, but a remake of a version we never got in the west. Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139… comes with all new graphic and visuals, and it shows. A noticeable character change is the shit talking bitch Kaine. Her, I’ll kill you look, has turned into a more, I’ll kill you with cuteness look.

I feel like the change is that the team is trying to go for a more Nier: Automata kind of look. Which is fine, I feel like the game and the characters still look good. But it’s disappointing that I feel like Kaine just doesn’t have the same feel to her with her new look. She’s still hot don’t get me wrong, but her aura isn’t the same to me. Here’s a side by side for a comparison.

But either way, I think the game looks good and I’m still going to want to buy it and play it. Kaine might look different, but if they keep her bitchy mouth and attitude, then I’ll have no problem with her.
