I’ve been waiting for a new Fire Emblem game. Yeah I know we got Fire Emblem: Three Hopes not too long ago, but I’m talking about a traditional Fire Emblem game. I’ve been wanting to get my hand on a new true installment ever since Three Houses, and now I get it, with Fire Emblem: Engage.



Now the first thing that stuck out to me and everyone else, is that the two main characters' design and color scheme is kind of…weird. People are calling them VTubers design or Pepsi and Colgate mascots. Which makes sense, not the Pepsi comparison, but the VTuber design, since the character artist also designs VTuber models. I can see that Ninitendo is really pushing this red and blue look, fitting the Switch color pattern. Let me be honest, I think the designs look pretty wack and out of place for Fire Emblem, but, with how the new engage mechanic works, maybe there’s a story reason for their look. I also might get used to them, or even start to like them. But for right now, it’s just not hitting right.

But you remember when I mention that people say that the new MCs look like Pepsi and Colgate mascots? Well, the psycho artist ThiccWithaQ doubled down on that idea, and made the main female MC tits become toothpaste dispensers. 

I guess we’re going to have the male MC peeing Pepsi. But even with these more than questionable designs, the game is looking hella good. I’m super excited for this game to come out in 2024. But even if people aren’t completely vibing with the designs, we got a meme out of it, and we all know that memes spread around. So the more people who spread this meme around, the more people that will know about the game. Smart business strategy Nintendo.
