People aren’t big fans of A.I. art because a lot of people consider it stealing from artists and just copying. Well, A.I. is one thing, but when it comes to a real life person, and a big animator copying and tracing art, I feel like that’s even worse. I’m not sure if any of you guys heard of the artist Maenchu, but I hate to break it to you, but she’s a tracer.

A lot of the evidence came out from another artist, Murpraxis, who posted side by side comparisons of artists' art that Maenchu had copied. They even copied one of Murpraxis' animations as well.

Like anyone who gets caught in their bullshit, they have to hurry and make a statement to calm the flames. Maenchu is no different, and wrote up a response to the discovery.

If I can say one thing, I like how Maenchu just owned up to her fuck up instead of trying to flip it and make it seem like what she did wasn’t that bad or a misunderstanding. She pretty much admits that she was being lazy and it’s on her. She’s been away from Twitter for a while now, and I’m not sure when she’ll feel like she can come back. But, if they do come back, I wonder how many people will greet her with open arms?
