XL Joshi is an Adult Romance Anime With Big Dick Energy
Outside of sex scenes, cocks are rarely a massive part of anime (no pun intended). I mean, I can hardly think of one where penises are a prominent plot point, not counting hentai, and you can probably blame Japan's strict censorship laws for that. But then I came across (again, no pun intended)XL Joshi and couldn't help feel my intrigue rising (that one was kinda intended).Based ...

Blade of the Immortal Anime Offers Complete Adaptation
We talk a lot about live-action adaptations of anime/manga here, so here's a little personal anecdote. About a year and a half ago, I went to see a showing of a Japanese movie titledBlade of the Immortal. It's not often that you see foreign language movies in theaters, after all. It was directed by the prestigious Takashi Miike, the man behind over 100 movies including adaptations ...
Ever Wanted To Become an Anime Character?
A while back I wrote aboutsomething called "This Waifu Does Not Exist," a website that uses neural networking to create images of original anime girls that vary from the admittedly cute to the downright uncanny. I still come back to that site now and then for laughs, but now a new, somewhat similar site has stepped onto the scene. But this one doesn't create anime characters on ...
Netflix Celebrate Anime Fans & Creators With New Documentary
With around 150 million subscribers worlwide, there's no doubt that Netflix is one of the biggest media sources in the world today. And you gotta admit that Netflix has introduced a lot of people to stuff that they wouldn't have seen otherwise. Personally, I know a number of people who would've turned their noses up at the mere mention of anime a few years ago, but now they're asking ...

Junji Ito's Tomie Returns to Live-Action
There are few artists, manga or otherwise, that can truly instill you with that eager sense of dread when you're about to turn the page, yet Junji Ito has mastered it. That unique quality is difficult to bring to a moving medium, which is why a lot of the anime or live action adaptations of his works tend to fall flat.Uzumaki cuts out a lot of the weirder moments from the souce ...

It was a sad day when Kenichiro Takaki announced his decision to step down from the belovedSenran Kagura series and leave Marvelous due to concerns about increasingly strict censorship on the fanservice-laden series. But the silver lining was that he was still working on a brand-new project with Marvelous that has remained secret, until now!Kandagawa Jet Girls is the name of a joint ...
Good News: Omega Labyrinth Life Gets Worldwide Release!
Back in May, I wrote aboutOmega Labyrinth Life, the third instalment in a video game series about oppai and dungeon crawling. Sadly, the series has never been released outside of Japan and you can thank Sony and their hatred of fanservice for that. But sinceLife is the first one on a non-PlayStation console, I predicted that now the series finally has a chance to see the light of ...
