Stand Proud in the New JoJo Battle Royale
By Yung Namahage • 5 years ago

Love 'em or hate 'em, there's no denying battle royale shooters are one of, if not the biggest trend in the gaming world today. Although the scene is largely dominated by Fortnite and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, plenty of other developers have tried getting in on the action. Now, Bandai Namco are unveiling their attempt on the genre, with the stylish flair of JoJo.

Officially titled JoJo no Kimyō na Bōken: Last Survivor, the game features characters from Stardust Crusaders, Diamond is Unbreakable and the current animated arc, Golden Wind, battling it out with their stands in Morioh until only one reigns victorious.

The game will support online play for up to 20 players but there's a catch: It's set to be released only in Japan, and only in arcades. An international release is unlikely since Japanese arcades are leagues away from Western arcades, and there's simply no way it can compete with the big dogs of battle royale if released on PC or consoles.

Last Survivor is set to release next Summer, with location testing commencing in January. What's your take on this game? Who would you main if you got to play it? Do you think it's even a good idea in the first place? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
