Rapey Revenge Fantasy Redo of Healer Gets Anime Adaptation
By Yung Namahage • 4 years ago

So, I never heard about this series before finding out that it's getting an anime, but goddamn, let me just get right into it.

Rui Tsukiyo’s light novel (and later manga) Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi: Sokushi Mahou to Skill Copy no Choetsu Heal (Redo of Healer: Transcendental Healing of Instant Death Magic and Skill Copying) is about a 14-year-old boy with magic healing powers named Keyal. Keyal is horiffically raped, abused and drugged by those who want to take advantage of his powers, but eventually he manages to break free and awakens to powerful new magic, which he uses to go back in time by a few years. Then he proceeds to live the peaceful life he never had.

Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi

Just kidding, he rapes and/or tortures everyone who did the same to him.

So yeah, this is getting an anime. The show's crew includes director Takuya Asaoka (Kandagawa Jet Girls), series composer and script writer Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime), character designer Junji Goto (High School DxD), and anime production by TNK (High School DxD). Voice cast is still TBA.

Needless to day, this kinda shit's not for everyone. Hell, it's not my cup of tea but skimming through the manga did instill me with a sense of morbid curiosity much like Kyocho Rettou did. As always, check the website for more details if you're also intrigued. There's no release date yet, but I predict it'll cause a Goblin Slayer level of controversy soon.

What about you guys? Is it excessively edgy or worth looking forward to? Let us know what you think!
