ComicFesta Announce Another Ecchi Romcom Anime
By Yung Namahage • 3 years ago

I can't help but appreciate the work ComicFesta put into their shorts. Most streaming services put out an anime once and call it a day, or save the uncensored version for physical releases. But ComicFesta have a tendency to release a series twice: the regular TV version, and the uncut "premium" version released online with a different voice cast operating under psuedonyms, so you know it's gonna be good. Their latest series is no different.

Based on a manga by Tamami Katsura, Otona no Koi no Shikata ga Wakaranai! (Adults Are Clueless About Falling in Love!) follows the story of two bachelors in their 30s. Mio Sudo hasn't had a boyfriend in 5 years and forgot what feeling in love feels like, while insurance consultant Shuji Majima has been single for 7 years. After meeting at a matchmaking party, Mio is offended when Shuji tells her he's not into women, but a lewd comment by Mio starts to take things down a lewd road.

The series is being directed at Ether Kitten by Hiroyuki Furukawa (My Wife is the Student Council President), while collaborating with Sirius. The scripts are being written by Nora Mori (Peter Grill and the Philosopher's Time), the sound directed by Takahiro Enamoto (Overflow) at Studio Mausu, and chief animation director To-Ru Zekuu (Stellvia) is also handling character designs.

Here's a fun fact: the manga's original name was Sex Go-Busata, Sotsugyo Shimasu (I'm Graduating From My Sex Drought), which was changed to the current name after it was published in print. If you ask me, that's a much more attention-grabbing name than Otona no Koi no Shikata ga Wakaranai!.

Regardless of the name, the anime will air on Tokyo MX in October, followed shortly by the NSFW version dropping on the Comic Festa website. Check the anime's website for more information, and don't forget to let us know what you think in the comments!
