Sony President Explains Censorship
By Kasaix • 5 years ago

Atsushi Morita, the president of Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan, has finally explained what the hell is going on. If you're late to the party, a number of PS4 games have been censored. Now, let's make this clear, it's the sexy girls being censored. Blood and gore can still be found, but gods help us if a girl looks sexy.

Mr. Morita finally told us what the hell at a recent Japan Studio “Fun” Meeting that took place in Tokyo, Japan on December 1st, 2018. During the event, fans could ask questions about Sony's current workings. Here's a quote from this guy.

"Regarding the regulation of the depiction of content, it’s simply a matter of matching global standards.

As for the freedom of expression… we have to think about what might be unpleasant for children and shield them from those things while also thinking and assessing ways to find a balance [for that expression]."

Quick, no one tell him about ESRB, Cero, Pegi or any other ratings boards! Beyond that, parental supervision! No one tell him that those things exist! This guy. Seriously. Because parents don't do their job and keep their kids in their ratings lane, he feels the need to parent us all. God dammit.

Sounds off in the comments below. Or something. Dude has me so damn disappointed.

I mean, blood and gore, outright violence, a-okay with this guy. When a girl shows some skin, he steps in and says that's too far. What message is that sending to people?!
