Sit Down. Let's Talk About Morality

We’re all humans with our own rules that we go by. These are things that we may never break for anything in the world. These rules can be called morals. Your morals is how you decided from what’s right and wrong in your eyes, other than the law. So tell me, how dedicated are you to your morals? Are you as dedicated as one voice actresses Oolay-Tiger?

Oolay-Tiger is a voice you may have heard while surfing this site. She has voiced in DAT ASS and FandelTales. She is in a lot of other projects that she have been commissioned for. But, she also have rules when it comes to the things she’ll voice for. When it comes to roles she’ll not participate in, she will not voice underage, bestiality, rape, birthing, scat, and watersport. She won’t even voice a SFM animation of Lara Kroft being gangbang-raped by a group of horses for $4,000! Yeah, you heard that right. She turned down $4,000! They even said that they’d give her anonymity and she still turned it down!  That’s a strong fucking woman.

Now this is where people morals differ. I hear that and think, “Man, I love people who won’t budge for no one. Always staying true to themselves.” But, I also think to myself, “She’s so fuckin stupid! I would have taken that deal in a heartbeat.” But, my latter thought only comes to mind because I don’t share the same morals. I have no problem with the things she does, since I see it as all fantasy. Yeah, I might not be into the whole hardcore rape stuff, but if someone offered my $4,000 to voice in one of me getting raped...hell, give me $1,000, you better bet I’ll hop on that. But that’s just because hardcore rape isn’t my thing, but I don’t think it’s morally wrong (in a fantasy setting. Let me just make that clear). But morally, I would never do anything that I think is wrong like stealing, murdering, or betraying my friends or family for any amount of money you can give me. I know, generic anime protagonist over here.

Would you have taken the $4,000 offer that Oolay Tiger turned down? Do you think she’s stupid for turn that $4,000 down? How strong are you towards your morals? Tell us in the comments below.

Good for her. There are some things we all find abhorrent, and it would be wrong for anyone to force us to do something we don't feel comfortable or safe with. There are some tags on here that I avoid because honestly, they make me very uncomfortable. I think part of accepting each other, especially in a doujins fandom, is acknowledging that we all don't feel the same way. That's a good thing.

Honestly; I'll NEVER put my trust on anyone who'd do anything for money.

That person could be offered a large amount of money to kill you or make your life miserable. THE FUCK would you want that type of person on your side or in your team?

She have her rights to turn down any voicing gigs if she does not like them. I agree with another that is silly IMO to accept money to do anything. We can't force anyone to do anything, and if she does not want to voice these animations, so be it.

I respect her for following through with what she states are her terms. I will not assume anything -  I am not her, I don't have the exact same moral makeup as she does (And never will, being a completely different person.), and I don't know all of the information with that situation. (And would not care to pry or speculate on it.)

Personally i think it's what my financial situation is like. I mean morals are fine but starving to death on the street is bad.

I think what she did was right because if you voice something like that then it'll be on the internet forever.

You know what people say. "Morals are expensive." If she can afford to be restrictive in her work, that just means that she's in doing well.
