New Game Censored in Korea - Has Opposite Effect
By Kasaix • 4 years ago

The game developer anime New Game has begun airing in Korea. For some reason, they decided to censor it, as reported in a twitter thread HERE. It only made this better, or worse, depending on how you look at it. If you've been following my inane blog posts, you know I'm no fan on censorship in any form. However, in this instance, while I won't give it a pass, I won't rage against it too much. Take a look below.

If you know the series, Yagami Kou likes to work at night and without pants on. She's in her panties. Censorship makes it seem like she's half-naked. I support that. The yuri vibes in this series are on point, though I don't know if anything's paid off yet. I stopped watching/reading when Aoba got royally screwed over and these new girls came in and started treating her like the devil.

As also seen in that twitter thread, this sort of censorship, as needless as it is, can make things better or worse depending on how you look at it.

Yep, that's Kudo Shinichi getting drugged in the early chapters of Detective Conan. With censorship, it looks like he's giving a guy a good time.
