Yoko Taro Predicts Peach Ball: Senran Kagura to Be the Last Ecchi Title
By Kasaix • 5 years ago

Yoko Taro is a director who needs no introduction, but he deserves one all the same. He gave us the amazing Nier: Automata, with the android girl 2B taking center stage. He recently sent out a couple of tweets, lauding Peach Ball: Senran Kagura

"Peach Ball: Senran Kagura! At the current time, “shooting pinballs at female characters” is a challenging thing to present. I have a feeling that this is the beginning of the end of such games that can be played on a consumer machine. This is a must-see for pinball fans for various reasons!"

A follow-up tweet clarified his thoughts on the matter.

"Speaking seriously, releasing a game of the pinball genre as a consumer package, even if tied in with some IP, I think is amazing. Truly."

He is likely talking about game companies, like Sony, stomping on anything that might be considered erotic, and suggesting that games like Peach Ball might be the last of its kind. These fears are not unfounded, of course. Things are so backwards, Nintendo of all companies is looking like a beacon of lewd things, and they've swiss-cheesed Fire Emblem, Xenoblade Chronicles, and Bravely Default among others.
