To Credit or Not to Credit, That is the Question
By ImJustThatKinky • 4 years ago

The man that we all look up to in the anime community may have just fucked up. And that man is Elon Musk. He was caught slippin, with his pants down.

Elon Musk had posted a picture of 2B fanart on to his Twitter page. Now you maybe wondering, “What’s so bad about that?” What’s so bad about that, is the fact that Elon didn’t give credit to the original artist. And his post started gaining different responses of people defending Elon and others shaming him, the tweet was soon deleted.

The artist in question was Meli Melo, who seemed to be totally fine with everything, seeing as she’s getting that major clout!

Now I want to talk about the whole thing about crediting. In all honesty, Elon only got called out on this issue because he’s famous. There’s so many time where normal people like you and me, upload art or a meme and not credit the artist. It’s not like we don’t want to, it’s just might be the fact that we don’t know who the artist is, since you most likely found it out of random. But Elon, someone with a huge following, he’s expected to do better, and go the extra mile to give credit where credit is do. I feel like not crediting the artist really becomes a problem when you’re trying to show it off as your own.

Do you think Elon Musk is in the wrong? Are you happy that Meli is getting attention from this? Are you guilty of not crediting artist? Tell us in the comments below.
