Gather around everybody, it’s story time. Once upon a time there was a dumb fuck named ImJustThatKinky who wanted to make a porn game called Personality. It would be a fresh, amazing, and topical entry into the industry that would shake up the state of porn games as we know it by trying to mix in good story and characters with sex. Alas, Kinky hadn’t coded anything a day in his life, so to make this shit happen he had to recruit… JJMJ.

Wait, who? Who the hell is that!? Which one of you stole my demo project!?! Hold on, let me back up a minute. You see at the time I barely had much coding experience outside of college work. Kinky showed me a programming language called Ren’Py exclusively designed for visual novels, and after looking it over, it didn’t seem much more complicated than anything I was doing in class. So sure enough I agreed to do it. But before cheddar got involved, I had to prove to both of us that I could do it. To that effect I decided to code a little test project involving one of my favorite games: Persona 3.

The goal was to make a sex scene similar to ones I’d have to do for his project. And after a bit of jostling things around I was able to come up with something decent. And by jostling things around I mean finding some hot ass Persona 3 assets. I knew I wasn’t intending on making a profit OR gaining a following, this was simply meant to be a proof of concept, so I took assets from the game and anywhere else without a care in the world. After it was finished we put it on a forum just to see if we’d get ripped apart for having a low production value or if people would look past it if the core content was good. Comments mainly focused on “wow persona 3” instead of saying “this is fucking shit” so we declared it a succussful test and took the game down for good. Or so we thought.

Weeks later Kinky informed me that someone had not only taken the game and reuploaded it, but they also made a custom fucking banner with the Persona 3 font style. We couldn’t fucking believe that anyone would want to see that trash again, and yet there it is to this day. If you’re out there JJMJ, I sure do like that banner. Cheers for that man.

One more thing, I just want to be clear that I’m not upset at all by this. None of those assets were mine so I have no room to be angry anyway. It’s simply crazy to me that someone cared enough to make a custom banner and keep the game somewhere up for download. Sometimes you never know what’s gonna happen next I guess.
