I just recently finished Kengan Ashura with my friend Snooze. It was super cool to get a tournament series that actually focuses mainly on the tournament…well, at least after you watch the build up leading up to the actual tournament. But after that, full on tournament action with it only derailing from time to time. It was blood pumping hype as fuck action and fights episode, to episode. I loved the pacing and the way the character interacted and growed from the fights. Now I’m hype to say that I think another series is getting animated to hopefully fill the void that Kengan Ashura left after it ended. Let me introduce you all to the series, Tenkaichi.

If you have never heard of this series before, then don’t worry, I learned about it awhile back. And the only thing I ever knew about it was that it had a hot as fuck muscle woman in it, that people were always posting. And now with the anime in the works, I can’t wait to see her animated, and also get some doujins hopefully. Maybe this can be the comeback for doujin artist Buchou Chinke.

Historical Battle Action by Nakamaru Yousuke & Azuma Kyoutarou set during the Warring States Period of 17th Century Medieval Japan focused on a bloody Battle Tournament to determine the strongest warrior who shall rule Japan after Oda Nobunaga's death.

So yeah, I’m hype for this shit, but without any studio being announced so far, I’m kind of scared. I don’t want another Record of Ragnarok on our hands. But also, I wouldn’t really want a CGI mess as well. Kengan Ashura was able to do CGI fights well, but Kengan is built different. I don’t trust many other studios to pull that off, but only time will tell, so I’ll keep my fingers crossed, and my muscle women close.
