Hackers are on the rise, and that’s not a good thing. I’m hearing time and time again on Twitter about a hacker's latest victim. Whether it’s making someone download a game which is actually just a virus, or making someone think they’re going to get their Discord or Steam account banned, so the person sends over their private information in hopes of “not getting banned”. I’m always surprised that these scams work on people, but when people aren’t expecting to get hacked or panicking, things like this can go over their heads. A animator you all should know by now, AmateurThrowaway, was hacked a while ago, and most people thinking that was the end of it, the hacker came back, trying to scam AT’s old followers.
Opening fake commissions and trying to trick AT’s old followers into getting a “commission” from him. The scam goes deeper than that, with ATs old followers trying to catch the scammer in his lies.
Even I tried to confront the scammer.
For a while, residents of Brazil were banned from using Twitter, which AT resided in. So AT has been promoting his content and interacting more over on BlueSky. But recently, that ban was lifted, and AT has made a statement on his Twitter.
And what did the hacker have to say about this?
So this was a little PSA for anyone who followed AT’s old accounts and was wondering why he was acting so strange. Don’t fall for these hackers and stay safe everyone. Cause these guys are actual scum.
Did you know AT was hacked? What do you think of hackers? Have you been hacked before? Tell us in the comments.
