Steam is Already Getting Heat for Adult Games
By ImJustThatKinky • 5 years ago

Steam has done the right thing letting adult games run naked and free on their site. But with every good thing, comes people with sticks up their asses who want to ruin the fun for everyone else.

Negligee: Love Stories, one of the first fully uncensored h game to launch on Steam is in the middle of all this controversy. With one of them being the developer blocking themselves from 28 countries. Here’s a statement from the developer and the list of countries:

Another problem comes from the executive director of the National Center on Sexual Exploitation who hates the thought of having such adult content on Steam, saying that it “normalizes the idea that men have the right to control and abuse women according to their will”. Which at first I thought was a stupid claim, until I thought to myself, “Yeah, you’re right. The same way GTA normalizes the idea that killing people is okay.” This is a stupid and outrageous claim from someone who most likely already has a distaste for anything porngraphic. It’s sad to say that since Steam has made this move, this won’t be the last time we hear about someone complaining about Steam's new rules. Let’s just pray that it doesn’t force them to remove all adult games from their platform to save face.

Do you think Steam will one day back pedal? Are you okay with adult games on Steam? Why do people have such a problem with adult games? Tell us in the comment below.
