I'm not going to pretend that online petitions are 100% effective. I've signed my fair share over the years, and haven't heard a single one do much of anything. Yagyu, a development partner for the Japanese and European branch of Marvelous Entertainment who works for Igrasil Studio, started a petition to convince Sony to stop censoring their games. His arguments are sound and compelling. However, logic fails in the face of puritan standards, so I didn't see much hope of anything.
However, an update appeared on Dec. 2:
"Hello friends, I'm about to talk with Sony UK next week, they can't fix the problem since they're not authorized to change something but they're able to get in touch with the HQ at least.
I'll let them know what the problem is and why its kinda important for their future. Especially for the PS5 or similar products if they want to win the next console race again.

This guy's optimism is incredible. I want to live in the world he believes exists. However, two things work against this guy. Well, three actually. First, by his own admission, Sony UK has jack all influence. Second, this might be a PR stunt since Sony knows how wildly unpopular censorship is. Third, as of this writing and article publication, there was no further update after that post.
