You know what I'd like to see more of? Hentai/ecchi manga or anime adapted to live-action, featuring actual gravure or JAV idols who're willing to recreate the source material's dirtiest moments. A lot of the time the more fanservice-y elements of a manga or anime are cut out from the live-action, but hiring an actress with experience in the adult industry has the potential to match or even surpass the sexiness of the original. 

That's what I was thinking before I read through the first volume of Hagure Idol Jigokuhen, which is a little more explicit than what I was expecting. Written and drawn by Rui Takato (Devilman G, Cynthia the Mission, Soul Calibur Dojo), it features a girl named Misora Haebara, a 19-year-old martial artist/virgin from Okinawa that wants to work in the entertainment industry to support her family. Unable to get a job as a singer like she intended, she reluctantly agrees to work as a gravure idol, until her shady talent agency attempt to coerce her into doing porn.

Tsuyoshi Shoji (Chanbara Beauty: The Movie - Vortex, Ladies Vs Warumen) is directing a live-action movie inspired by the manga at Sedic Deux studio. Actual gravure idol Rina Hashimoto (who you might recognise from the photography minigame in Yakuza Kiwami 2) stars as Misora, and certainly looks the part at least.

Set photos show a scene from the early chapters where Misora demonstrates her karate abilities and determination by fighting off 100 guys determined to fuck her on the set of a gangbang shoot. This has the potential for some awesome, sexually charged action if they manage to pull it off. But the anteater cunnilingus, golden shower and drug scenes in the following chapters? I wouldn't hold my breath on those making it in the movie.
