Mangagamer is here to let all us English folks enjoy the final two instruments of the o so popular Rance series with Rance IX - The Helmanian Revolution and Rance X - Showdown. Anime Expo was a big old hentai game release party and I feel like these two were surely one of the standouts out of them. Here is a summary of the two games:
Years prior, Prince Patton Misnarge fought to prove his worth by invading another country, but failed and disappeared from the public eye. Swearing to take his country back, Patton trained and returned a strong and admirable man. He sought to make use of the peerless champion he met on his journeys to fight to revolutionize Helman. Yes, the key to his plan was to get the assistance of the strongest and most brutal warrior, Rance.
Over 6000 years a minuscule creature called Kayblis fought and slaughtered his way to the very top of the Monster Realm. A conceited man named Rance whoÅ@declares all woman to be his lived a carefree life and found his way to the top of the Human Realm. Both men put the survival of their entire race on the line in an inescapable struggle to the death.
These two games have different approach to there gameplay. While Rance IX is a turn-based tactical RPG, Rance X plays more like an RPG game with card game aesthetic elements thrown in.
Mangagamer have been bringing Rance west side recently which I’m sure all the fans who dealt with hard to download emulations, torrents, and bad fan translation are happy that they now have an official release version that they can buy, with the added bonus of helping out the creators. But I still wonder is this actually the last we’ll see of Rance? Hopefully they make some more hentai OVA’s, I love those things.
Do you think this is actually the “final” Rance? Did you go to Anime Expo? Is Rance still one of the best H games out there? Tell us in the comments below.
