By Yung Namahage • 5 years ago

The company behind such titles as TrinolineSupiparaAngel Typeeden* and Sono Hi no Kemono ni wa has announced that they'll be shutting down.

Nobukazu Sakai, former producer and director for the company, says that the reason behind Minori's closure is that he worried that they will not be able to make good on their promises to fans in the future, and to give staff the opportunity to move forward and have time to work on other projects.

Formed in the year 2000, Minori have published 15 visual novels, some of which made it onto consoles such as the PlayStation 2 and Dreamcast, but not without some of the lewder content being removed. MangaGamer brought some of their titles into the west with English translations, and some of their games, namely ef - a fairy tale of the twoWind: A Breath of Heart and Haru no Ashioto spawned their own franchises, with anime series, OVAs or manga based on the visual novels.
