My Hero Academia SMASHes Out More Spin-Offs

My Hero Academia has brought itself to the forefront of, not only the world of shonen, but the entire world of anime. Since the launch of the manga in 2014, the series' hype has been unstoppable, granting it a super successful anime series that's set to debut its fourth season soon, as well as a number of spin-off manga, two video games, two OVAs, an animated movie and an upcoming live action film.


Viz Media have recently announced that they're releasing the spin-off manga My Hero Academia: SMASH!! in the west, after its initial release in Japan in 2015. Written by Horikoshi and illustrated by Hirofumi Neda, Viz describe SMASH!! in more detail in their press release:


"The superpowered society of MY HERO ACADEMIA takes a hilarious turn in this reimagining of the best-selling series! Join Midoriya, All Might and all the aspiring heroes of U.A. High, plus memorable villains, in an irreverent take on the main events of the series, complete with funny gags, ridiculous jokes and zany humor!"


But that's not all, there's gonna be a new anime adaptation as well! The Japanese Plus Ultra Edition of the My Hero Academia: Two Heroes animated movie on DVD/Blu-Ray will include several bonuses, including an animated adaptation of the short "All Might: Rising" manga that was given out in theater viewings of the movie in Japan.
