Lupin the Third, or Lupin III, whichever you want to use, has been going really strong since 1967. Monkey Punch, who sadly passed back on April 11, struck gold, and that vein of riches doesn't appear to be drying up anytime soon. The newest entry in the Lupin III franchise goes 3D with Lupin III: The First. Takashi Yamazaki, who worked on Stand By Me Doraemon, and Dragon Quest: Your Story, is directing and writing the film. This film will open in Japan on December 6. Take a look at the trailer below.

Lupin and Conan of Detective Conan have met before. There have been two crossovers, a TV special and a movie, and both were awesome. Did Lupin get some tech from Hiroshi Agasa?
