Kandagawa Jet Girls Western Release Date Confirmed
By Yung Namahage • 3 years ago

It's been about a year since the initial reveal of Kandagawa Jet Girls. A lot of people were holding on for new information about the series since its announcement for one main reason: it's the latest project of Kenichiro Takaki, the former producer of the Senran Kagura series. And much like SKKJG doesn't disappoint in the fanservice department, featuring all the wet and wild bounciness you could ever imagine.

Following the release of the game itself in Japan and its accompanying anime, western fans were left wondering whether it'll ever see the light of day in this side of the world, especially since fanservice-based anime games aren't usually welcomed with open arms over here on consoles. But then Marvelous came through with an announcement that, much like Senran Kagura in the past, XSEED Games will be publishing Kandagawa Jet Girls in the west!

If it's stayed under your radar so far, Kandagawa Jet Girls is a hybrid third person shooter/racing game featuring various two-girl teams on jet skiis; a jetter, who drives, and a shooter, who...shoots. The game features a story mode, various offline modes such as free races and time attack, online racing for up to four players and four minigames. There are also DLC teams featuring characters from Senran Kagura, which will be coming to the west in the form of post-launch DLC.

The game will be released digitally on PS4 and PC via Steam on 25 August. The digital limited edition on PS4 includes the base game, an accompanying soundtrack app and an avatar & theme pack, while the digital deluxe edition on PC includes the game plus the soundtrack as well as the maid bikini and bunny costume packs. Finally, North America will also recieve the Racing Hearts edition, featuring a physical copy of the game, an artbook and two soundtrack CDs.

Last but not least, here's a brand new trailer to accompany the announcement of the release date:
