I’ve enjoyed Hisone to Maso-tan, way more than i thought I would. I only decided to pick it up because it was an anime original and it was being animated and produce by Studio Bone, the studio behind the ever so popular Boku no Hero and many other greats. Man was I introduced to an unexpected cast of great and lovable characters, comedy that has me laughing to myself, a story with interests, and an underlying message about how women are treated in a male dominated workplace. Now with the last one I’m not sure if this is one of the themes of the show or me just reaching for straws but as the show progressed that was the feeling I got from some scenes.

One scene that didn’t make me think this a first but as more of the show went on, I saw it less as the typical anime pervert seen and more as a message was when the Vice Director showed up. He first introduce himself to Hisone, our MC, my rubbing up on her and grabbing on to her ass.The reason he was introduce, was to develop a new suit of Hisone and to do this, he had to feet up on her and invaded her personal space. This was seen as weird but even so, no one felt the need to say anything about it. Once finishing up the measurement, we have a scene where he has her dress up in weird and sexy, skin tight costume. The two people at the table judging the costume, one man and one woman had different reactions. While the woman looked serious and tried to keep a professional feel about her, the man only stared ogling at Hisone. Hisone  uncomfortableness of the whole situation could be seen from her expression and her words.

The next scene was when one of the male workers, seemingly one of the higher ups, complained about how the D Pilots aren’t pulling their weight and is pretty much useless. He also made it a point to point out that the D Pilots are made up of girls and that they are not suited for the job.

Get these damn women out of my Battlefield games!

And the last thing is how most of the male workers view the ladies. When the girls are not around, talking about their bodies, which one’s the hottest, their game plan for picking them up, the usual guy talk become apparent. This is another thing that many women complain about males in the workplace, being seen as sexobjects and not as work partners.

DAMN! I'ma have to hit this girl with a 3 out of 10 in hottness. Wait! She's easy! Okay, 4.5.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not here trying to make a point or be an “SJW” that most people hate. I just wanted to bring this up and see did anyone else notice this or am I alone on this. This theme may was obvious from the beginning but still, I wanted to bring it up because I thought it was interesting. Good ass show by the way, you should probably check it out. Unless you’re a degenerate male who only watch anime for the boobs and love objectifying women!

But it's hard not to see women as sexobjects when they gotta ASS like that!
