With this season of anime half way over, I’m getting myself prepared for next season. Next season sadly doesn’t have much I’m interested in except for Jojo Part 5 and Goblin Slayer, and that’s what I’m here to talk about today. I’m pretty sure David Production is going to keep pumping out that good Jojo we know and love, but will White Fox give Goblin Slayer the same treatment? Here’s a summary of Goblin Slayer:

A young priestess has formed her first adventuring party, but almost immediately they find themselves in distress. It's the Goblin Slayer who comes to their rescue—a man who's dedicated his life to the extermination of all goblins, by any means necessary. And when rumors of his feats begin to circulate, there's no telling who might come calling next...

Goblin Slayer is originally a light novel, which has been adapted into a manga and now an anime. The light novel has detail description of violates and rape. The manga adaptation did not straw away from these theme and up the rape to 100 with adding art to those gruesome and grotesque scenes. So now it makes you wonder how far the anime is willing to go. From the Goblin Slayer trailer, it seem to stay faithful to the gore of the series but no depiction of rape could be seen from what I can tell. Studio White Fox are the people behind the Re Zero anime, so gore is something their use to, but rape could be a different story. 

And even if they do add the rape scenes, will the people streaming it, Crunchyroll, censor those part out, it’s not like they haven’t already remove and fucked up other properties that contain sexual content, ala DanMachi Mobile Game. So after we see that White Fox has the balls to put it in, we’ll have to see if Crunchyroll have the ball not to keep it out.
