The State of Play just showed off a lot of cool and interesting games, but throughout it, I was just begging, hoping for a Ghost of Tsushima 2. And honestly, all things considered, I feel like I might have gotten something even better.



Ghost of Yotei is pretty much the second installment of the Ghost of Tsushima series. With going for a more Final Fantasy approach where each sequel involves another protagonist in the Ghost universe. I was excited to keep the Jin story going, but with the new protagonist Atsu, I’m excited to see HER story play out, but other people really aren't excited about it. 

Resident dirty man that a lot of people aren’t liking, Asmongold, even had a stream showing many in his chat view on the new protagonist.

That’s right, everyone is screaming DEI, the new hit slag that all the kids are just throwing around whenever they feel like it. Many words in this day and age have lost their meaning. Oh, you think Nobara from Jujutsu Kaisen is hot? PEDO!!! Oh, you genuinely didn’t like this movie with a black leading character. RACIST!!! Oh, you don’t like watching gay porn? HOMOPHOBE!!! Like, people just enjoy throwing these labels over anything. So now, just having a female protagonist in your game auto makes it WOKE, or DEI coded.

Like, I do get the annoyance when it comes to something like the Little Mermaid Live Action. Turning Ariel black, when she was originally white seem hella DEI, so yeah, that’s annoying. But something like this, where it’s 300 years in the future, new place, new story, new characters, and everything. Why is it so bad that the main character is female? I remember a lot of people complaining that Assassin Creed Shadows was DEI because it had Yasuke as one of the main characters and they wished that sense it was in Japan, it would only focus on Japanese main characters. Now with Ghost of Yotei, you get a Japanese main character in a Japanese setting. People should be happy right? Oh no, we want a male Japanese main character. Oh, so people want to make a problem out of nothing…got it.

So yeah, another crowd of annoying people who don't really hate DEI, but just hate I guess black and female main characters. At the end of the day, the game looks cool, and I think the new protag is interesting. I know I can’t wait to play as a female samurai and a black samurai in these cool up incoming video games.
