Epic Games Makes an Epic Fail! No Porn Games Allowed in the Epic Store
By ImJustThatKinky • 5 years ago

Steam has been scaring many adult game creators with randomly removing a lot of adult visual novels from their store. With Steams shaky rules when it comes to adult games, many may be looking for another big game selling  platform that they can call their safe haven. Well, the Epic Store is not the place for them. Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney was up front when explaining what games are allowed on their platform:

“We’ll have a quality standard that doesn’t accept crappy games. We’ll accept reasonably good quality games, of any scale, whether small indie games to huge triple-A games, and we’ll take everything up to, like, an R-rated movie or an M-rated game. A GTA game would be fine to us, but Epic’s not going to distribute porn games or bloatware or asset flips, or any sort of thing that’s meant to shock players. The PC’s an open platform and if we don’t distribute it in our store you can still reach consumers directly.”

So Steam rules on adult games are wishy washy, while the Epic Store is a complete no no zone when it comes to adult games. Well, I guess you always have Nutaku.
