Well, the crisis has been averted. Well, for a little while at least. Discord has cut ties with Persona, the people behind the age-verification process. But, they’re still looking for other companies to help in their endeavors of gathering all of our information.

So we still have room to worry, since they’re not completely closing off the idea. They just supposedly want to get a “better” system in place, and be transparent about the whole thing. Again, this isn’t going to help, or protect any kids or teens. This is always only going to be an issue and a problem. Nothing good can come from this decision, and I feel like most, if not all companies understand this. But, either way, this was just a quick and short update for everyone who was still using Discord, and was dreading the end of this week. We have a few more months to brace for impact, and hope they close off the plans of adding age-verification all together.
