I think we can all agree that censorship can detract from an experience. In hentai, it's especially lame. Japanese censorship laws haven't really changed in the last century, and there's no signs of that changing. Artists can be fined or even jailed if they show genitalia or pubic hair without some form of censorship, such as black bars, light bars, or pixelization. Sometimes it's kinda funny, like the guy pulls his beam sword out for some real action.

The user specifies the censored regions in each image by coloring those regions green in a separate image editing program like GIMP or Photoshop. A neural network handles the hard part of filling in the censored regions.

So here's how it works: a user marks the censored parts of a colored doujin, and DeepCreamPy (love that name) predicts what lies beneath the censorship. It's high level stuff that I thought was still in the realm of science fiction. Do we have a real zoom and enhance, or is that still a cliche?
It's noted that this only works for full-color stuff. Monochrome, like most doujins and hentai manga, wouldn't see much, if any, benefit to DeepCreamPy.
"The decensorship is intended to work on color hentai images that have minor to moderate censorship of the penis or vagina. If a vagina or penis is completely censored out, decensoring will be ineffective.
It does NOT work with:
- Black and white/Monochrome image
- Hentai containing screentones (e.g. printed hentai)
- Real life porn

- Censorship of anus
- Animated gifs/videos"
