We finally got some new information on one of the most hyped up and anticipated games of this year, Grand Theft Auto 6, with a new trailer dropping and an official release date. But depending on who you are, both news might disappoint you.



Well, the trailer is what I expect from a Grand Theft Auto game. Good visuals, a crime ridden story, sex, guns, the whole package. But some people are upset that the main character you’re playing as doesn’t have a package. All puss down there. This is the first time in a main line Grand Theft Auto game that we’re playing as a female protagonist. And the fear that gaming is declining because of woke culture and DEI are popping up. People most likely see this as Rockstar finally giving in to the “modern audience”. But, knowing how the GTA story goes, I wouldn’t be surprised if they touch on that topic and make fun of it.

But the thing that has people upset, and also happy, is finally getting a release date. Many people thought that GTA 6 was going to drop this year. But now to come and find out that it’s official release date is now scheduled to be May 26, 2026. Which some are happy about because that just means we have more time to save up money to buy the game when it inevitably costs $100. And others are upset because they were so ready to play the game this year. I’m fine either way honestly. I’ve never been that big of a Grand Theft Auto fan. I can see their good games, but I’ve just never really been the audience for them. But I’m happy for everyone else.

So I guess we have to wait another year for GTA 6 to finally drop. I’m kind of happy that it’s not dropping this year, cause that just means less competition for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Hades 2 when it comes to them getting Game of the Year.
