Another Patreon game is leaving us after a year of development. CrazyChameleon, the creator of Fractured Worlds: The Nether Sky has made a sad announcement informing fans about the future of the game and other things. Here’s a statement from the developer:

Hello all of you Patrons who have supported me this last year. I'm afraid I have some bad news. I've held on for a year. But I've had to face facts. Fractured Worlds despite my best efforts .. Is a mess. The plot is okay. But the balance has become impossible. And the code is convoluted under the hood. I made many early mistakes which have come back to bite me. And right now developing new content for the game is like pulling teeth. I really feel like a heel right now as I know that though the fanbase for this game is small. It is dedicated. And the people who love it REALLY love it. It's been your continued support that has allowed me to continue up to this point. 

However I need to face facts, Take what I learned from Fractured Worlds and go back to the drawing board. By no means is this the end for CrazyChameleon though! I have a new game in the works. And I plan to show previews on this Patreon and modify it for the new game. So keep posted for news and previews. And if you like the look of the new game I would value your continued support! 

As for Fractured Worlds. It is a project I may well come back to once I have a larger following. Or once I have raised enough capital to do so. I poured my heart into Fractured Worlds. And though I believe it is too niche to really have caught on without me being a much more popular brand. The warmth and passion with which it was received have given me confidence that I can produce something that will truly succeed. And the lessons it has taught me has prepared me to create a game with wider appeal and with tighter gameplay systems.  And underlying code.

I once again thank you for all the support. I do still intend to produce one more patch for fractured worlds. Adding in some of the newer art. With a couple more scenes in early game. But for now Fractured Worlds is on indefinite Hiatus. 

Don't worry, the game get's even gayer than this.

The only reason I never got around to playing it is...funny enough, the same reason for me being interested in it. A long RPG with sex elements is cool and all but playing such a long game, not know how enjoyable the sex scene will be is just a scary risk. I heard that it takes a while to even achieve your first sex scene, which is a huge turn off for me. Sad to, since the scenes do look good.

But CrazyChameleon states that he’s still planning on working on games and is just leaving behind Fractured World. Maybe this time he’ll create something not as complicated, I’ll be keeping an eye out for the next game.
