Kasaix: Hello Doujin Army! I’m glad to be able to chat with the one and only Cyberunique, a truly amazing artist. Besides the art he posts around, which is great itself, he also runs Vaygren, a full series set in his own created universe. Yuri and futa galore there, and it’s glorious.
But I’m getting ahead of myself. Thanks for taking the time to hang out. How’s it going, Cyberunique?
Cyberunique: I am doing good, thanks for having me.
Haha, sounds like I am on a TV interview, sorry.
Kasaix: Hehe! Fun times will be had then.
Let’s start at the top, could you tell me how you first got into art?
Cyberunique: I started drawing in middle school; when I was in Jamaica. Mostly, I was doing portraits, landscapes, fruit basket studies, stuff like that. The only thing I knew how to do well was drawing bananas, mangos, and (American) apples, haha. I didn't have the internet or anything at that time, so using what was available around me (lots of fruit from my backyard), I put it in a basket and drew it. I was using colored pencils for the most part, and two pencils specifically. No high tech pencils. I also used my kitchen knife to sharpen it — couldn't find my pencil sharpener most of the time (badass). Couldn't afford to buy the good colored pencils, so it was Crayola all the way.
Once I came to the US, I was in 9th grade. That's when I started learning all about anime (online mostly). Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, stuff like that.
I eventually got a computer and started drawing digitally every single day, at least one picture a day. In grade 10, I started taking everything really seriously and improved my skill fast.
Kasaix: Wow, that’s amazing. Are you self-taught, or did you take art classes?
Cyberunique: I am self taught.
Kasaix: Impressive. You’re really good. How did you make the leap from fruit to hentai?
Cyberunique: Thanks Fruit? Ah! You mean the fruits that I was drawing back then.
I was mostly doing the fruit baskets when I was younger. When I was in highschool, I started drawing hentai after I saw my friend doing it.
Kasaix: I’d like to take this time to thank Cyberunique’s friend for drawing hentai at the right place and right time.
What are your favorite characters and themes to draw?
Cyberunique: Hmm... Man, it’s hard to say to be honest, because I draw so many characters. It’s like auto pilot to me now. But if I had to guess, it would be Cammy from Street Fighter or Hinata from Naruto. But I get a big high when I draw my personal characters from Vaygren.com. As far as theme, I like to do futa mostly. Specifically females with a dong and without balls, so magical futa.
Kasaix: Great fighter girl choices. I prefer magical futa too, dong without balls.
Let’s talk Vaygren now, because that’s a cool series. Could you tell us about it?
Cyberunique: "Deep within the black void of the universe exists a realm called Vaygren. Within it lives a myriad of ethereal beings and horrific entities, some of which have been further warped and disfigured by a combination of advanced science and dark magical arts.
Vaygren is rife with political turmoil. Constant war tears apart the land, as the various factions & races destroy one another to seize power for themselves. Above them all sits the Queen of Vaygren, Alees. Her origins are shrouded in mystery. No one knows where she came from or how she amassed such power. She cares little for politics or ruling her empire, only wishing to claim all of Vaygren as her own. Few dare oppose her, for to oppose Alees is to throw one’s life away.
Yet, still some fight. A rebellious dark elf named Yvain was once Alees's most favored servant. Now, she is the rebellion's only hope. In a botched assassination attempt, Yvain is overcome by Alees’s sheer power. As the deadly battle was coming to its conclusion, Yvain manages to steal an artifact off of Alees's person, thinking it to be the source of Alees's overwhelming power.
She was wrong. As Alees unleashes a devastating final blow to the dark elf, the artifact activates and warps Yvain into another realm: Earth.
And on Earth, a young girl named Sophia is about to have her life changed forever..."
Kasaix: An epic story from an epic artist. The site itself hosts videos, loops, and images all dedicated to this story. Do you have the entire plot already planned, or are you playing it per story arc?
Cyberunique: We have the entire plot planned out up to 2 seasons.
Aebard, my video editor and writer who helps me with this story, has been helping me nail down the overall series plot.
Kasaix: Nice. Do you have plans past these two seasons? This seems too good to end anytime soon.
Cyberunique: Of course. We are hoping to have it ongoing for a super long time
Kasaix: That’s good. Magic futa with sexy girls in a medieval setting is my siren call. Out of all the characters you’ve made, who would you consider your favorite? You don’t have to choose one, it could be a top five or top ten.

Cassidy
Kasaix: Could you tell us a bit about them, and why they’re your favorites?
Cyberunique:
YVAIN
Yvain is a natural combatant with keen senses. Her nimble and resourceful fighting ability, quickly placed her in Alees’s royal army as the high commander. However, at some point for unknown reasons, Yvain forsook her title and rebelled against Alees. Currently, Yvain plots to remove Alees from power.

ALEES
Alees is the queen of Vaygren and is the mightiest entity in her realm. A being of untold power, very little concerns her. With unwavering confidence in her strength, Alees manages to make a game out of just about every task, regardless of what it is or how pressing. So charismatic is Alees that many creatures of Vaygren follow her will of their own accord, without the need of forced submission.

CASSIDY
Cassidy is the current high commander of Alees’s forces, after Vyain defected. A sleek mink of a woman, Cassidy’s brusque mannerisms extend to both her fighting style and her come-hither affections. She’s not one to take refusal of her whims lightly. She’s been ordered to smash Yvain’s revolt and retrieve the stolen mystic gem.

And I like them because they are such badasses.
Kasaix: Really nice. I like them too. Since I’m such a romantic, and there’s a lot of sex in Vaygren, who do you consider your best romantic couple?
Cyberunique: These two: Bynx and Sophia
BYNX
Bynx, through a series of tragic events, finds herself marooned on Earth and unable to return to Vaygren. Mysterious and very playful, Bynx’s flirtatious demeanor beguiles a vast wisdom. Upon meeting Sophia, one of the few denizens of Earth who is capable of seeing her, she chooses to bond with the young girl for reasons known only to Bynx.

SOPHIA DAWN
Sophia is an average girl who lives an average life, or so she likes to think. Sophia never truly really believed it, but it brought her some degree of comfort. She couldn’t explain why, but the world felt so much more vast than it appeared to be, as if it were merely one cog in a massive clock. When Sophia has a chance encounter with a beautiful creature not of this world, she begins to see just how right she really was, for better or for worse.
-Race- Human
Kasaix: Nice, I like them as a couple. A human and a catgirl. Bynx is a futa girl, seen in the video, so that relationship sounds really fun.
How would you describe Alees? Is she pure evil, or is she just trying to enjoy herself no matter the cost?
Cyberunique: Both. She is both.
Kasaix: Nice. I like the charismatic antagonists that you can actually enjoy them succeeding, especially if it leads to some sexy times.
Since there is some conflict here, I feel I should ask: are there any hardcore non-con scenes, or scenes of death? I haven’t seen any myself so far.
Cyberunique: Well, there are times where minor characters die in battle or are killed by a villain (no main characters, so far, though no guarantee it won't happen in the future), but there are no sexualized or erotic death scenes. As far as any non-con scenes, there is the occasional one, but thanks to magical futa powers, everyone involved is feeling pretty good.
Kasaix: Good, I prefer things on the lighter side myself.
Moving on from the fascinating world of Vaygren and their many sexy ladies, do you have any original characters you use as a mascot?
Cyberunique: Hmm. No, not really. All my original characters that I actually put energy into are from Vaygren, and I try to keep it as a brand. So I have the logo as a logo, and no mascots.
Kasaix: I see. Where do you get the inspiration for all your projects?
Cyberunique: Good question. It’s from watching anime.
Kasaix: Where did the idea for Vaygren come from?
Cyberunique: I dreamt about it. I know it sounds weird, but I actually dreamt it and the logo too.
Kasaix: That’s not weird, that’s awesome. I want dreams like that. How long does it typically take you to finish an art project?
Cyberunique: Depends, but typically around 2 weeks to a month.
Kasaix: Nice. It pays off because your art is just damn sexy. Not sure if I mentioned that yet. Can the readers tell how much I love your work? Because I do.
What do you feel is your best picture yet, and why?
Cyberunique: Hmm. My best, I would say, are my Vayrgen animations
Kasaix: I love your Vaygren animations too. Besides Vaygren, is there a project you'd really like to work on in the future?
Cyberunique: Well, I am working on a game at the moment that takes place in the Vaygren Universe.
The name of the game is "Futa Fix: Dick Dine-N-Dash". It’s a visual novel game.
I also did a Soul Eater animation, that was fun too.
Kasaix: A VN in the Vaygren world? That sounds nice. Can you tell us what it’s about, or do you want to keep details private until release?
Cyberunique: Yup, but it’s more of a side story. Best to keep details about it private, at the moment, but here is the description of it:
"Emily has a little problem between her legs. Well, not exactly little. One day, she suddenly found she had a cock. She has since lived her life in secrecy, finding ways to satisfy her enormous libido, avoid being found out as a futa and juggle her career as a waitress. One day, she decides to come out of her shell and spend time with her coworkers. Will she be able to hide her secret, or will her libido get the better of her?"
Kasaix: That sounds really interesting, and I can’t wait to see it.
What setup do you use to draw and animate?
Cyberunique: I do the storyboard and animations in TVPaint, as well as the coloring. I do the background in Clip Studio Paint. Then I send them off to Aebard to do the editing and post effects.
Kasaix: Nice. I’ve never heard of those, but they must be good.
Where does your username come from?
Cyberunique: Hmm, well, I was traveling home from school on the bus, and I was reading the back of a japanese language box. I saw the word “cyber”, then I kept reading and saw “unique”. Then I put them together, haha.
Kasaix: Haha nice. Let’s wrap it up here for now. Do you have any final words to all your fans?
Cyberunique: Uh…. Nah, nothing I can think of.
