AI is becoming a more and more unavoidable aspect in our lives. Some love it, while others despise it. I used to be someone who enjoyed what it brought to the table, but with so many people miss using it for more unfavorable means, I’ve grown on the side of not enjoying it as much. People using it to make two male streamers kiss each other, using it to steal other people's work, it’s becoming nothing but a vile tool. And an artist who’s been in controversy before in the past, is now in more heat, and that’s Shexyo.

Now this is what I’m thinking about when it comes to Shexyo. The art that he’s posting still looks like his old art before AI became as big as it is now. I’m pretty sure he wasn't using AI in the beginning, so I’m assuming that whatever AI program he’s using at this point, is just using his already established art style, and making art with it. So he’s not really stealing anyone’s else's art, but just using AI to do the work for him, with his already art style. Now how do people see this, is this still considered bad in your eyes?

To me personally, I feel like it’s a lot better than stealing someone else's style, and trying to make it your own. But this still does slightly put a bad taste in my mouth. Personally, as someone who enjoys writing, I would never want an AI to write an article for me. At that point, do I really enjoy writing articles? The process and me thinking of what words I want to use to convey my point is the enjoyment of it. Me typing in a prompt saying “write a article about Shexyo doing AI art and people not liking it” seems so fucking stupid and uninteresting. But hey, if you guys want me to start doing that, here’s a little taste.

So to each their own, but Shexyo has been in many controversies throughout their art career, so at this point it’s more of a, enough is enough standpoint. They still seem to be tricking and fooling people into donating to their Patreon. So if the money is still flowing, I doubt they’ll stop anytime soon just because other artists are complaining.
