Yuri fans who might've been disappointed with their slim pickings ranging from an affair to just depressing anime should look forward to the Fall when Bloom Into You, an adaptation of a popular and cute yuri series.

Bloom Into You is a pure and sweet story of love and romance between two girls. In these dark and depressing days, it's the ray of light we all need. If you need more, go look at Candy Boy, that's sweet and cute yuri between sisters. 

The anime and manga series follows Yuu, a girl who is convinced by shoujo manga that a love confession should make her feel a certain way. After receiving a confession from a guy she's always liked in middle school, and not feeling excitement, she moves on to high school, without responding to the boy. It's there that she meets Touko, the student council president. It turns out that she rejects love confessions for the same reason: none excite her. After discussing this, Touko confesses to Yuu. 

That's the setup, and it's sweet as any candy. While the manga had its debut in April 2015, continuing today, it's a wonder that it took them this long to adapt it to anime. Regardless, we have it now, so let's watch the yuri unfold in Bloom Into You.
