Doom is one of those epic, legendary games that changed the face of gaming forever. First released in 1993, Doom set off a firestorm of controvery. The gore and satanic imagery lead it to getting the very first M-rating from the ESRB. Yahoo! Games listed it as one of the top ten most controversial games of all time. It was catching heat from all sides at the time. So of course it was completely awesome and was just the beginning of a grand franchise. Kudos all around to developers id Software and publishers GT Interactive, you gifted the world with a hell of a time.
Since that time, Doom has seen numerous mods. Doomguy can kill demons in the Mushroom Kingdom and even star ninja girls taking the fight to evil. The list of mods available for Doom is vast, a testament to its staying power. However, an entry to this list has caught our attention. Titled HDoom, Doomguy now fires sex lasers and has sex with demons. The brilliant mind behind this mod, HDoomGuy, assures us that it is consensual with neither party forcing themselves on the other, and just having fun. HDoomGuy modded this game in a way that can either tickle a fancy of leave one more annoyed than anything. Famous of infamous depending on who you ask. The gameplay is more or less the same, but instead of shooting demons until they die, you shoot them until they're on the ground and ready for Doomguy to show them a good time. The demons of old are replaced by demon girls, and the weapons used on them are harmless and funny. A pillow replaces the fist, then there are dildos, TVs with porn for demon girl's enjoyment, and a poetry book that replaces the BFG. Of course these weapons are harmless, and the point is to get the demon girls hot and bothered. A point of contention with HDoomGuy is that, this masks his attempts to portray to his audience that all of this is consensual. It seems more like rape, and this was not his intention.
